CAPM® Certification Exam Preparation Workshop

Overview: CAPM® Certification from the Project Management Institute is the industry standard for demonstrating competence and a solid foundation of project management skills. This workshop prepares participants to write the PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification exam and provides the 23 hour educational credits required for new applications.

Project Risk Management

Overview: Risk is an important reality in business because we live in a world of uncertainty. This course provides a comprehensive overview of risk and strategies on how to manage it. It acknowledges that not all risk is bad, that in fact with risks we also encounter opportunities. The course is structured around the risk management process defined in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), published by the Project Management Institute. The course provides a systematic approach of identifying risks, analyzing the risks for potential impact to the organization or project, creating strategies to mitigate risks, applying risk response measures when risk events occur, and establishing procedures for monitoring, controlling, and reporting on risks. Both concepts and practical tools are provided for students to manage risk in their own organizations and projects.

This is a virtual, self paced course created and taught by 1 of 4 core authors of The PMI Guide to Business Analysis, Cheryl Lee.

Managing Project Teams and Stakeholders

Overview: Course provides skills development training in creating a project human resource management plan, estimating resources, acquiring resources, developing, and managing the project team. The program also includes strategies for identifying stakeholders, creating a stakeholder engagement plan, managing stakeholder engagement, managing stakeholder expectations, monitoring stakeholder engagement and ultimately achieving stakeholder satisfaction.

PMI-CTT New Members Orientation (NMO) - Dec 2022

The PMI-CTT Chapter conducts New Membership Orientation (NMO) sessions twice annually. The sessions are typically partnered with another chapter event and are designed to welcome you and provide information on what our Chapter is all about. Please join us for an in-person Networking Event for PMI’s Canada’s Technology Triangle (CTT) Chapter where attendees will be treated to some apps and a drink! During this professional development (PD) event, attendees will get an overview of DA (Discipline Agile) from Alex Letona, PMI-CTT Director of Events, and an opportunity to network with members of the project management community!
