Our Speakers:
Moderator/Speaker: Sarah Maxwell is a passionate community engagement specialist and public speaker who leads and supports the Chapter Engagement Partner (CEP) team to strengthen PMI’s relationship with its chapters and ensure alignment with PMI:Next, North America regional priorities, and PMI’s global community strategy. With a background in theater and community outreach, she brings warmth, clarity, and connection to every conversation—whether supporting chapter leaders or speaking on international stages. Sarah founded PMI’s internal Toastmasters Club, earned her CAPM, and has represented PMI at TED 2019 and the 2023 PMI Africa Conference & Sub-Saharan LIM. Outside of work, she sings with and serves on the board of Coro da Capo, a nonprofit a cappella choir offering free, high-quality concerts to the public, and lets off steam with her cover band, Northern Lights.
Panel Speaker: Alex Letona
Prior to assuming his position as President, PMI-CTT, Mr. Letona held the positions of Communications Manager, and, most recently, VP, Web Administration. As VP, he managed a team of four which developed and maintained the chapter’s information technology needs. Under Mr. Letona’s leadership, the chapter’s website underwent a complete redesign and email migration, among other initiatives. He also actively participated in Chapter Leadership team meetings and contributed to the annual strategic plan. He achieved his Project Management Professional (PMP) designation in 2015 and has been volunteering with PMI-CTT since 2013.
Mr. Letona holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Computer Science College and Francisco Marroquin University in Guatemala. Mr. Letona, his wife, and two sons live in Cambridge, Ontario.

She holds both the PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification since 2020 and the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification since 2009. Passionate about aligning technology with strategic vision, Emy empowers teams and delivers impactful, high-quality solutions that advance accessibility and excellence in healthcare.

Mei is an Innovation and PMP certified Strategist, Microsoft Copilot 365 MVP, and AI enthusiast who’s been on a mission to drive impactful digital transformations since my journey with AI began in 2014. While funding challenges led me to pivot, I found myself in the world of project management—a path I hadn’t planned but one that has allowed me to combine strategy, leadership, and innovation in ways I love.
Currently, she manages high-stakes, multi-million-dollar campus expansion, EIR Accessibility, and Innovation programs at the University of Texas at Arlington with a focus on stakeholder alignment, strategic planning, and risk mitigation, her work is dedicated to advancing UTA’s mission through innovation and education.
As a Microsoft MVP and Copilot 365 Champion, She's passionate about helping professionals harness AI to drive growth. Through her role on PMI’s AI Standards Development Team for Project, Program, and Portfolio Management (PPPM), I help shape AI standards that bring real value to our profession. From practical tools to user-focused solutions, my mission is to make technology accessible and impactful.
As Past President of PMI Dallas, Mei L. had the privilege of leading over 5,300 members in a community focused on growth, mentorship, and servant leadership. Together, we advanced careers, fostered strategic initiatives, and created a vibrant support network for project managers worldwide.
