Speaker: Richard Lewis, B.Compt(Hons), FCG, CPA, DTM

Richard Lewis has had a long and successful career as a senior Financial Leader. He spent 15 years in the auditing and accounting profession with EY, H.M. Parker and PWC, before venturing into industry and becoming CFO and a Director of Finance in a large UK Listed Engineering Companies. He recently retired from John Wood Group plc, after 21 years as Director of Finance for the Americas. Prior to that, he was the CFO of James Howden Limited, a large UK and SA listed group subsidiary.

During his career, he has been a financial and accounting lead of, or team member on, many multi-million-dollar projects from:

- large financial software conversions,

- the listing of Howden onto the Stock Exchange,

- the engineering and fabrication of Disney rides,

- major business acquisitions and restructuring projects,

- major capital project bids and

- various other capital projects.

Whilst his primary role was Financial Accounting and reporting, Richard also has a strong project accounting background.

Richard graduated from university with an undergraduate Bachelor of Accounting Science and a postgraduate Honors Bachelor of Accounting Science (“BCompt(Hons)”)

Richard is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada and UK “(FCG”) and a Chartered Professional Accountant (“CPA”), and he is also a Distinguished Toastmasters (“DTM.”).
