This year marks the third annual PMI-CTT Scholarship Award for teams of Conestoga College Business students who demonstrated exceptional application of project management tools and techniques in order to achieve the project objectives/results.
From the two strong finalists: the "Skate for a Cure" and "An Evening for Easter Seals" projects, both were highly successful and together raised a combined amount of over $8,000 in fundraising efforts.
“Skate for a Cure” project team (Emily Jolley, Evon Cossar, Dylan Good, and Jason Nelson) targeted a charity event in Kincardine Bulldogs to help a local teenager’s battle against leukemia.
"An Evening for Easter Seals" team (Michelle Kelly, Tia Dawe, Michelle Dreveny, Morgan Coles, and Hardeep Takhar) hosted a fundraising event raising awareness and support for Easter Seals Ontario.
After careful consideration by the selection committee, the bursary of $1,000 was awarded to “Skate for a Cure” for their tremendous effort with excellent results. An honorable mention also went to the second submission for their strong contributions.
