To improve business outcomes, companies rely on projects to deliver new and improved capabilities. Mission success is not possible without project success. However, project success is an elusive goal. In a world of rapid change, digital transformation, and disruptive forces, companies face risk from all directions. In the presence of this uncertainty, project managers need the knowledge and skills to effectively manage risk. Participants attending this event will learn valuable concepts and skills which can be applied immediately to their projects to improve the certainty of project success. They will also create a risk-adjusted plan for a project of their choice during the workshop.
Participants will learn how to develop a risk-adjusted project plan by applying the 5 immutable principles of project success, risk-based thinking, and project pre-mortems.
Participants will:
  • expand their professional network
  • learn essential risk management concepts
  • engage in group activities
  • conduct a project pre-mortem
  • identify and evaluate project risks
  • create a risk adjusted-project plan for a project of their choice

Topics will include:

  • 5 immutable principles of project success
  • How uncertainty creates the opportunity for risk
  • Continually managing risk using risk-based thinking
  • Using a risk-adjusted project plan to improve the probability of success
